Vegetable and Fruit Grower required for interesting and diverse business Sharnfold Farm, Stone Cross, East Sussex

The farm itself is an 80 acre estate which includes a busy farm shop, butchers, coffee shop, farm trail, Christmas tree plantation and PYO. The farm carries a small flock of sheep, beef, pigs and laying hens. All of the produce grown on the farm supplies the farm shop and butchers.

The Role

The role would give sole responsibility for growing and maintaining a variety of vegetable crops and PYO fruit. The applicant will need to be competent in all aspects of growing and weed management. Good knowledge with rotation of crops, pests, fruit production, PA1 & 2. Approx. 30 acres to manage and harvest of vegetable and PYO which supplies our farm shop on site. The role would suit someone who will get enjoyment from seeing their produce on sale in our shop.
