Following the restructure of the Parks and Open Spaces Division, we have a unique opportunity for Parks and Cemeteries professionals in a number of new roles at the Council. We are looking for a landscape professional to join the Parks and Open Spaces Team to deliver a range of landscape projects throughout the District. The successful applicant would also be involved in giving landscape advice on planning applications as well as ensuring compliance with relevant landscape planning conditions.

You will need to have a degree in Landscape Architecture or relevant qualification and be qualified to Part IV of the Landscape Institute with post Part IV Professional Practice experience. You should also have good design skills and a wide knowledge of landscape matters, a good understanding of planning legislation and contract matters and be proficient in CAD/GIS software.

You will be expected to undertake site surveys, assessments and contract management and will require a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

In addition, you should have the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people, and be proficient in the use of IT including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
