Parks Team Leader
Grade D: £19,698 – £21,748 per annum
Post No: CL385 – 37 Hours per week
Following the restructure of the Parks and Open Spaces Division, we have a unique opportunity for Parks and Cemeteries professionals in a number of new roles at the Council. With an emerging new Parks and Open Spaces Strategy, Cannock Chase Council is committed to continue to maintain and enhance its highly valued Parks and Open Spaces. We are seeking a self motivated individual to be responsible for staffed parks and play areas across the District. You will be experienced in leading a team and have a background in Horticultural maintenance. Experience of managing sub – contractors would be advantageous. You should have detailed knowledge in traditional Horticultural Techniques and hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Horticulture.
Duties will include managing all aspects of horticultural and play ground maintenance. The successful applicant must hold a full UK Driving Licence with a minimum of B, B+E, B1 and C and ideally be eligible to tow vehicles including category C1E. In addition you should have good verbal communication skills in order to interact with facility users in a courteous and sensitive manner, and will be prepared to work outside in all conditions when required.
