Estate Gardener wanted for private estate in Surrey

A full-time qualified Estate Gardener is required for maintaining and enhancing formal gardens and grounds to an exceptionally high standard.

The role will involve maintaining all areas of the gardens and wider estate, including fine lawns, hedge cutting, strimming, pesticide application, border maintenance, ornamental plantings and maintenance of the informal areas of the Estate to a high horticultural standard.

Applicants should be able to work both unsupervised and as a team member.

Safe and proficient use of the usual grounds maintenance equipment and machinery is expected and a spraying licence, chainsaw certificate and a clean driving licence is desirable. 

Salary is £22,000 to £25,000 plus discretionary bonus according to qualifications and experience.
