Grade C: £18,933 - £19,698 per annum
Post No: CL928 & CL929 – 37 hours per week
Following the restructure of the Parks and Open Spaces Division, we have a unique opportunity for Parks and Cemeteries professionals in a number of new roles at the Council. We are seeking two self motivated individuals who will work as part of a team assisting the Cemeteries Team Leader, working at any of Cannock Chase Council’s three cemeteries and six closed churchyards.
Duties will include all aspects of burial and cemetery operations including horticultural maintenance, preparation and digging of graves, assisting and directing stonemasons as necessary. The successful applicants must hold a full UK Driving Licence and ideally be eligible to tow vehicles including category C1. In addition you should have good verbal communication skills in order to interact with facility users in a courteous and sensitive manner, and will be prepared to work outside in all conditions when required.
Applicants will also need to demonstrate the ability to accurately record written information and will have experience of manual work. A basic knowledge of horticultural work and bereavement services and experience working within a cemetery environment would be advantageous.
