As Garden Supervisor for the historic landscape you'll be playing a vital role in its conservation, management and development. And you'll find imaginative ways of bringing to life the stories that they tell, helping visitors of all ages to make new discoveries. Supervising an enthusiastic, dedicated team of gardeners and volunteers, you'll work closely with our Head Gardener to ensure the gardens and landscape are shown off to the highest standards of presentation.
We're looking for someone with high-quality garden and landscape experience; good plant knowledge and horticultural skills; and a talent for team supervision. This role is responsible for the landscape so you will be able to use your skills in lawn care, tree and shrubbery work, composting systems, the supervision of maintenance tasks and be the team member who leads machine based work. You'll know how to ensure visitors enjoy their day out - from sharing your gardening knowledge, to ensuring their health and safety. The ability to use and demonstrate all necessary horticultural craft skills, machinery use and maintenance to the highest standards are also a must for this busy and dynamic role.
