You'll be playing a vital role in developing the grounds, in particular the areas of the Great gardens. And you'll find imaginative ways of bringing to life the stories that they tell, helping visitors of all ages to make new discoveries. Supervising an enthusiastic, dedicated team of gardeners and volunteers, you'll work closely with our Head Gardener to ensure the gardens and landscape are shown off to the highest standards of presentation. The main areas of responsibility are the woodlands, lakes, avenues and rides, this is a key role in the gardens restoration.

We're looking for someone with a creative eye; high-quality garden experience; great plant knowledge and horticultural skills; and a talent for team supervision. You'll know how to ensure visitors enjoy their day out - from sharing your gardening knowledge, to ensuring their health and safety. The ability to use and demonstrate all necessary horticultural craft skills, machinery use and maintenance to the highest standards are also a must for this busy and dynamic role. Chainsaw and machinery experience is essential.
