Are you an experienced area sales manager with a background in horticulture and landscaping sectors? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Our Client
Our client is a well-established supplier in the landscaping sector. They grow the majority of their products and are well-known for the range of quality stock that they offer. From their sites, they supply multiple customer channels and work together as a team to deliver the best results. They have an experienced and knowledgeable team that help one another deliver results. The business has significantly invested in its sites to maximise efficiency. They are very focused on their green credentials and sustainability too.

About the Role
This role is all about delivering sales and increased business. You will utilise your knowledge of the landscape supply market to build lasting relationships with clients and deliver commercial results. You will deal with inbound enquiries, look for new business opportunities and build your sales ledger. You will travel to customers, deal with them over the phone and on email and, when required, show them around the nurseries to discuss options and the quality of the stock. You will utilise your knowledge and experience with plants to ensure that customers are supplied with products that are fit for purpose.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong plants background and will come from a background in supplying the landscaping sector. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to grow a customer base, secure business orders and develop existing relationships. You will need to be comfortable dealing with numbers, pricing and quotes to negotiate with clients and secure business. Planning, admin and IT skills are a must-have. You will have a proven background in working to and exceeding sales targets and will be self-motivated. You will be highly organised and will ensure that not sale opportunities slip through the cracks.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have an excellent knowledge of a variety of plants. You will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to build lasting relationships with customers.

Competitive base salary + package
