Interim Grower | 3-month FTC | Somerset

A busy online plant nursery based in the South West is looking for an experienced commercial grower for a 3-month fixed term contract.

About the Client

Our client is a successful, well-established mail-order nursery business, dealing with a variety of plants including herbs, hedging plants and fruit trees. They grow onsite and buy-in, and care for, a variety of plants until they are sold on. They deliver to customers across the UK.

About the Role

This role is very much a hands-on grower role, and you will be responsible for the commercial growing of protected crops, hardy nursery stock and perennials. You will be growing plants, potting up, monitoring for pests and diseases, spraying and irrigating. You will be confident in all aspects of the growing operation, including propagating.



The Ideal Candidate

You must be an experienced grower and be able to hit the ground running. You will have worked in a commercial horticulture environment before and be able to support in all aspects of growing high-quality plants. You will hold your PA1 and PA6, and ideally a qualification in horticulture. There will also potentially be accommodation on-site if required.
