We are working with a successful family-owned business that is now looking to recruit a Plant Area Manager to join their team.

The Business

Our client grows a wide range of bedding and perennial plants and sells to garden centres, wholesalers, landscape customers. They have a plant area on site and this year the retail side of the business and moved from strength to strength and are now looking for someone to manage the plant area. It is currently a small operation, but there are plans to expand in the coming years.

The Role

As Plant Area Manager, you will support the business by running the retail side of the operation. You will be speaking to customers and support them with any queries they may have. You will be responsible for keeping the highest standards in terms of presentation, plant health and standards. You will be responsible for running a small team of people at peak times. You will have strong business acumen, and work with the business to help build and expand the retail operation.

You

You will have to experience a strong track record in bedding and pot plants sales. You will be a confident people person and enjoy helping customers with any plant-related queries. You will also be confident in running a small team in the peak period. You will be passionate about plants and be able to recognise sales opportunities to help benefit the business. Attention to detail will be your strong point, as you will be responsible for product placement, standards, and presentation.
