Town Park Senior Gardener

HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd has been set up by Harlow District Council to provide housing repairs & maintenance and environmental services.

The post holder will work closely with both HTS managers and Harlow Council`s Town Park Education and Volunteer Officer who is based in the Park.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Gardener to undertake horticultural and other related works at the award winning, prestigious Harlow Town Park and work with and inspire volunteer groups.

Consisting of over 160 acres, the Town Park has won the nationally recognised Green Flag award 4 times and the Bees Needs award twice. The Town Park is centred on Pets Corner and consists of features such as the Water, Specimen, Sensory, Newfoundland Gardens plus the Rhododendron Dell and Peace Wood.

This is an exciting time at the Town Park following the completion of the Heritage Lottery Fund other externally funded work. You will develop and enhance the many gardens around the park and must have the confidence, knowledge and experience to maintain these areas to high levels of horticultural standards. It is also essential that you have knowledge and understanding of COSHH, Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity, and that you are an avid team player who can also work independently and use their own initiative.
