About Our Client
Our client is a new and exciting business that is backed by an experienced management team. They grow and supply a variety of products, including soft fruit plants, roses, fruit trees, Christmas Trees etc. and focus on supplying quality products to the garden retail sector to help drive commercial performance and consumer satisfaction. With multiple sites across the UK, the business has invested in its facilities and brands.

About the Role
This role is all about selling and business development. Our client is looking for someone to get out in front of customers and buyers to introduce their products. You will plan your days and weeks to visit customers and potential customers regularly. Initially, you will take stock samples with you so you can show the customers the quality of the products that you can offer. You will establish new business and work towards sales targets.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture and a good knowledge of plants. You will be a proven sales person with drive and enthusiasm. You will be able to work towards targets and KPI's to deliver sales. You will get a buzz out of selling and adding value to customers and consumers. You will have a proven track record of selling to the independent garden centres within the plant category. You will be organised and able to plan your time effectively to maximise the potential from any working day. You will be happy to travel and stay away as required whilst visiting customers within your territory. You will be able to communicate effectively with a mixture of people within the garden retail trade and build rapport and relationships.

Minimum Requirements
Experience selling plants or plant products with a strong knowledge of plants into the garden retail sector. Ability to travel and develop business face-to-face. A can-do attitude and natural business developer.

DOE - as a guide ~£30-50k + van, bonus etc
