Your Role 

Dunstable Town Council manages 12 parks and recreation grounds, a large cemetery and 6 allotment sites and currently holds three Green Flags. Dunstable has been selected as a Britain in Bloom Finalist in 2021 representing the Anglia Region in the Large Town category.

As the Council’s first Parks and Green Space Development Officer, you will help shape and improve our green spaces working closely with partner organisations, friends groups and volunteers in order to maintain and develop the Town’s ‘In Bloom’ campaign, Green Flag Awards and community involvement in our parks and open spaces.

About You 

We are looking for someone with a sound horticultural knowledge, a passion for working with local communities and a creative approach to improving parks and green spaces.   

You will be a good communicator with strong organisational skills and a flexible ‘can do’ approach to work. You must be willing to work some evenings and weekends to develop strong relationships with volunteers and partners.
