Full time Head Gardener for Private Estate in North Suffolk.

Reporting to the Estate Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Hall gardens, which were originally laid out in the 18th century and are open to the public once or twice a year.

The gardens include; a walled garden with herbaceous borders, rose parterre, yew topiary, ancient pond and lawns; rose walk and lawns to the front of the house; vegetable garden, greenhouse and orchard; areas of specimen trees and formal hedges.

The ideal candidate will fit well into the established estate team while being able to work on your own initiative, You will have (minimum) level 3 horticultural qualification, at least 5 years experience, a good plant knowledge, PA1/6 spraying certificates and have experience in the use and maintenance of modern machinery. You will also be prepared to assist with other jobs on the estate as required.

A competitive salary with bonus and pension is available depending on experience. Four weeks holiday plus bank holidays.

39 hours per week Monday-Friday. Occasional weekend duties.
