Do you enjoy the outdoors and have an interest in green spaces? Would you enjoy a job where you could make a real difference to the parks and open spaces in Runnymede?
We are seeking a team leader who would ensure that the Council’s green spaces and allotments are properly inspected, maintained and managed. This role provides lots of variety – from managing and directing a small team to liaising with contractors, undertaking site inspections, organising repairs, dealing with correspondence or even leading a volunteer work party.
Knowledge of a range of grounds maintenance operations would be beneficial but not essential, and you must be able to liaise positively with stakeholders, including the public, colleagues and Councillors and deal professionally and promptly with a range of correspondence.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the qualities required of a team leader and this could be an opportunity for those with transferrable skills and an interest in moving into management within the green space sector. Appropriate coaching or training will be available to the right candidate.
If you are self-motivated, able to prioritise your own work and that of the team, have an eye for detail and would enjoy working indoors and out, this could be the job for you.
