About Our Client
Our client is a leading retail business with a fantastic reputation for service and quality. The team go above and beyond for their customers, who are at the heart of everything that they do. They produce many of their own products and are steeped in history. Online is relatively new to them...but they have a great team supporting this new channel and are committed to ensuring that their customers can utilise our clients' expertise in this way. They have adapted quickly to the demands in the market given the recent lockdown and want to see the business grow further online, with a big focus on customer experience. Our client has adapted to their customers' needs over the years and the focus of buying their products online isn't any different. The team within the business all have a passionate interest in the products that they supply, as well as the customers they serve. They pull together to offer the best possible customer experiences.

About the Role
This role is all about bringing the great customer experience that our clients' customers experience in-store to their online offering. You will utilise your experience in online sales and e-commerce to deliver a fantastic customer experience. You will be able to lead a team to see that all elements of this channel for this business are not only delivered but flourish. You will oversee all aspects of the eCommerce channel, from online customer experience, through to ordering, processing, order delivery and fulfilment and any customer service touchpoints throughout the process. You will be able to influence the performance of the online business and analyse KPI's and metrics to drive performance improvements. You will use your experience in team management to ensure the online function runs smoothly behind the scenes, whilst ensuring the customer-facing element is industry-leading too.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a mixture of experience across operational management as well as being able to show their ability to deliver commercial results across eCommerce/an online business unit. You will be able to influence a team to deliver results and ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively. You will have a proven track record of delivering commercial and customer experience results online. You will ideally have a background in garden/leisure sectors.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have proven experience in the online channel around building first-class customer experience and delivering on commercial objectives. You will need to be able to influence others and have management capabilities. As a minimum, you will need to have an interest in the garden sector and associated products.

Salary
~£35-45k salary + benefits - negotiable DOE
