Assistant Gardener

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Gardener to work on a private estate near Hungerford, Berkshire.

The garden is kept to a very high standard and is set in 10 acres with traditional formal areas, informal wildflower meadows, a kitchen garden, greenhouses, orchids, orchards and parkland. The gardens are open, by appointment, for charity under the NGS scheme as well as for UK and International private groups.

This is a chance for someone wishing to gain hands on experience, as part of a team, working in our beautiful private garden under the guidance of our Head Gardener.

This role will suit a recent graduate who is enthusiastic, hardworking and looking to develop a career in horticulture and to expand their skill set. The job incorporates all aspects of garden and estate maintenance, including new projects.

Degree or equivalent qualification plus good horticultural knowledge and interest is essential.

A good package including training is available for the right candidate. Accommodation may be available.
