Irrigation Assistant | Soft Fruit
We're looking for an organised and experienced Irrigation Assistant to join an innovative berry grower based just outside of Chichester. Our client grows top quality soft fruit for the UK's major supermarkets and they need the help of an Irrigation Assistant to ensure that the irrigation process runs smoothly and effectively.
As Irrigation Assistant, you will be a key member of the farming team and be responsible for the following:
- Health and Safety for all irrigation operations.
- Watering and feeding
- Mixing fertilizers
- Moisture checks
- Field irrigation set up and computer run off
- Data collection - record, leaf and soil analysis
- Maintain storage areas, including containers and feed containers.
We're looking for candidates who have a background in horticulture and knowledge of irrigation. Ideally, you will have experience of working in soft fruit; however this is not essential and if you are from a fresh produce or ornamental background then we would like to hear from you.
This would also be suitable for Horticulture graduates who are looking for that first step in their career.
