An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Craft Gardener to become part of our busy award winning team within our Environmental Services Department. We are seeking a team-orientated, diligent and skilled person to join a well-established team of Craft Gardeners. There will be opportunities to be engaged in supporting our mobile teams of maintenance gardeners, maintaining high standards at our various Green Flag sites and to be involved and contributing to our important and exciting work at Highdown Gardens.
It is essential that you hold a current driving licence as you will be required to drive vehicles as part of the role. You will need to be an experienced gardener and ideally hold a college diploma in horticulture. You will also need good communication skills to provide high quality grounds maintenance and horticultural expertise in sites across the District and Borough.
The successful applicant will be expected to be skilled and experienced in the use of various powered machinery and have industry related experience and will be expected to work outdoors throughout the year. You will have a positive approach to working and take pride in the work that we do. You will be able to demonstrate high standards of behaviour and professionalism in dealing with the public.
