Garden Centre Manager

Our client is developing a brand new Garden Centre and Restaurant which is due to be operationally running during the Spring of 2020. Currently being built, the garden centre and restaurant will create a location and environment for visitors to shop, indulge, enjoy and relax. This new build is looking to recruit an experienced Garden Centre Manager with a strong horticultural background, who is capable of running the centre as if it was their own.

Key points

• Takes ownership and responsibility for managing all areas of profit, loss and controllable costs within all areas of the centre
• Responsible for buying and selection of the range throughout the centre
• Controlling stock levels effectively throughout the centre to maximise sales
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approach motivating team ownership
• Lead from the front in driving the highest standard of customer service and ensure this is consistently achieved

Must haves

• A good understanding of retailing and catering to include purchasing, marketing, POS & merchandising
• Have a creative and entrepreneurial attitude towards plant retailing
• Able to recognise and act on sales opportunities
• Be meticulous to the detail in terms of product placement, standards, presentation and visual elevation and overall look and feel.
