Full Time Assistant Head Gardener

A dynamic gardener with good communication skills is sought for our 16 acre award winning family owned and run garden which is open to the public and has over 15,000 visitors throughout the year. www.holepark.com 

The successful applicant will join a friendly team of 3 gardeners who report to the head gardener and also the resident owner in this successful and much loved garden.

The successful applicant with preferably: 

• hold a formal gardening qualification, RHS level 3 or equivalent
• have experience of herbaceous borders and woodland shrubs
• have a passion for gardening, with a desire to assist in the maintenance and development of the gardens
• be able to take responsibility for areas of the garden and work unsupervised or as part of the team
• be able to work with other departments to help organise the variety of events held on the estate
• be adventurous and have the desire to make the gardens the best they can be
• be competent in the use of a range of garden machinery
• have at least 3 years practical gardening experience
• be able to interact with members of the public
• understand social media and the importance of using it to promote the garden
