Glasshouse Grower

We're working with a wholesale nursery as they look to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable Grower to join their team.

The nursery is committed to growing high quality plants that will delight their customers and they have a dynamic approach to growing. They are looking for someone who will share their dedication and interest in horticulture.

The Job:

As a Grower, you will be responsible for growing bedding, patio and herbaceous plants. The nursery has three sites in total but you will be dedicated to one eight acres site that grows plants under glass and polytunnels. You'll be carrying out duties such as monitoring for pest and diseases and coming up with solutions, spraying, plant husbandry and all aspects of plant production.

The Person:

We are ideally looking for growers from a bedding plant background as it is important that you understand the pace of this sector. You will be happy to work in a fast-paced sector in a large commercial nursery. You will have your PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates and be willing to get stuck in with all aspects of bedding plant production. Essentially, we are looking for a serious grower and problem solver who can act off their own initiative and grow quality plants.
