Are you a grower looking for a new challenge? Does your skill set lie in glasshouses and polytunnels? Then this could be the role for you.

The Company:
They are a specialist producer of plants such as clematis climbers, fuchsias and shrubs. Growing in excess of 5 million plants over 15 acres of glasshouse and polytunnels, they are now looking for someone to join their team. They have 4 sites across Spalding and Boston, which includes a dedicated propagation unit. Our client has over 30 years' experience in the horticultural industry and is one of the UK's leading growers of clematis' and other climbers.

The Job:
You will be responsible for maintaining glasshouse environments, regular crop walks and recording data as appropriate. You will be mixing and applying feeds, maintaining moisture levels and chemical spraying as appropriate

You:
You will be an enthusiastic grower, looking for a hands-on challenge. You will have your PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates with previous experience in commercial horticulture. You will have knowledge around irrigation, pest and disease and crop protection methods and be willing to learn new things. You will be a positive team player, with a willingness to learn and develop and show a positive can-do attitude. A relevant horticulture qualification is also desirable. Experience in protected growing is essential, although this doesn't necessarily have to be ornamentals.
