Under Gardener

We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, hard working and hands on gardener to join us maintaining the grounds of an 18^th century Palladian mansion at the centre of a large Cotswold estate.

The gardens cover several acres and include:

• Walled kitchen garden & greenhouses
• Extensive, well-maintained lawns
• Grass tennis court
• Herbaceous & shrub borders
• Paths & woodland walks
• Swimming pool
• Fruit trees & orchard

The successful candidate will need:

• An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• To be physically fit, energetic and able to work on their own initiative.
• To be a team player with a love for gardening and at least three years’ experience post qualification.
• To be flexible, self-motivated, open to new ideas, and be prepared to assist with other duties from time to time on the estate.
• To want to be a part of further developing these gardens.
• To be competent with machinery/equipment use and maintenance, including ride on mowers, pedestrian mowers, and chain saws (accreditation for health and safety compliance and a general knowledge of Health and Safety requirements are highly valued but not essential as training will be provided).

28 days holiday per annum, to include the Bank holidays.

Salary is competitive and there is a contribution to a pension.

Rent free accommodation will be provided.

It is a full-time job (Mondays to Fridays).
