Arboricultural Officer
Environment & Community Services | Streetscene & Greenspace Division
Post Number: Grade: BR10
Full time: 36 hours per week, Permanent contract
Salary: £31,890 - £33,654 per annum.
Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
We have an exciting employment opportunity within our team. We are the largest London Borough and have the most trees of all the London Boroughs within a diverse range of environments from the public highway to woodlands and conservation sites. Daily duties will include cyclic and continual safety inspections and making remedial works recommendations for publicly owned trees using CONFIRM Arboriculture in Highways, Parks and Greenspace sites, ensuring databases are kept up to date, remedial works are undertaken to mitigate Health and Safety or insurance claims and processing public enquiries. Additional duties will include assisting the Arboricultural Services Manager in the overall commitments of the team, and designated responsibility for the planting, maintenance, preservation and safety of all trees within your assigned area.
Key areas of personal experience for this role include in-depth technical arboricultural knowledge, an understanding of contracted services, personal drive, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including the commercial contractors, Councillors and the public.
