About our Client:
MorePeople is thrilled to be working with Evergreen Garden Care, a true market leader in the supply of garden products. The brands behind their business are perhaps better known than the business as a whole and include well-known names such as Miracle-Gro®, Roundup®, Weedol®, BugClear™ and Levington®. The product range and brands on offer are second to none in this sector and Evergreen have some very exciting plans in place for 2020 and beyond. They have a fantastic reputation for quality and service in the sector and have strong relationships with a variety of customers including independent garden centres, larger garden centre groups and the big retailers.

About the Job:
You will focus primarily on the independent garden centre market to drive sales and deliver performance across the full range of products on offer (500 skus in the core range). You will make the area your own and deliver sales growth, profit and distribution goals in the independent channels. First and foremost this is a sales and business development role, so you will be comfortable building long term relationships with clients; helping them deliver on sales and finding win-win solution for your clients and Evergreen. You will be the first point of contact for your accounts and help deliver consumer experience through affective merchandising and planning. You will be supported by regional customer development execs to deliver amazing customer and consumer experiences. Whilst this is a sales role, you will also need to be competent at planning and admin to ensure a smooth delivery with accounts.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience in the independent garden centre marketplace. You will be educated to degree level and be looking to progress your career quickly. You will be driven to deliver sales and commercial results, and be comfortable approaching prospective customers. You will be entrepreneurial, passionate, motivated and a self-starter. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a close-knit sales team to deliver results. You will have knowledge of SAP or a similar system. Experience in a seasonal driven market would also be advantageous.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a great can-do attitude. This role offers great potential for those that lack some of the experience but are a great culture and team fit. If you're really driven and want to make a difference to a business to progress this could be for you. You will need to be educated to GCSE / A Level / equivalent including Maths and English. You will need to have selling and negotiation skills, commercial acumen, planning and time management skills, clear communication and demonstrable experience in identifying and building business opportunities.
