We have a vacancy for a Skilled Tractor Driver/Operator to join our parks service to help keep them looking clean and green by undertaking a range of rounds maintenance tasks.

This role is highly visible and you will be required to participate in all aspects of Grounds Maintenance with regard to maintenance and presentation of parks, public open spaces, schools, sports pitches and facilities, play areas, horticultural features, hedge cutting, tree planting, assist in hard and soft landscaping projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To drive a tractor and operate all associated attachments to complete a comprehensive range of Grounds Maintenance Operations, including gang mowing, flail mowing, spiking & aerating, fertilising, weed treatment etc.
  • To contribute to the efficient delivery of the Grounds Maintenance Service
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest horticultural and customer service standards
  • To participate in the provision of grounds maintenance service with minimal supervision and undertake responsibility for the completion of designated tasks.

The successful applicants will be self-motivated, conscientious and enthusiastic and used to working in an outdoor environment, using their own initiative. You will hold a current driving licence, be positive, with a flexible approach, keen to learn new skills to provide and maintain high levels of performance.
