Tree Nursery Manager

At their open ground nursery they stock award winning semi-mature trees where you can find the largest choice of semi mature trees in the UK. Not only will you find row after row of Europe's finest quality trees but also a range of inspiration and ideas with fields of multi-stems, including specimen trees and shrubs and 'designer' trees and architectural shaped trees in a variety of forms.
Producing this volume and quality of trees requires professionalism throughout the production processes. Representing a huge part of the business they are now looking to strengthen the team even further by the creation of this new post.
Manage the overall operation of the company's leading brand tree nursery.
Ensure efficient and optimum plant production.
Inspect plant, prioritise and review all growing operations.
Ensure the operations comply with company's internal standards.
Maintain highest standards of plant hygiene with control and cleanliness.
Monitor crops for quality and pest and diseases.
What are we looking for?
You will have significant nursery experience preferably in the ornamental sector. Tree or shrub production would be an advantage.
Proven managerial capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
