Our Client is seeking a Project Manager to join the Conservation & Green Spaces Team. You will be based in a beautiful office setting with open space and park which is commutable from West London, Reading, Watford, Wycombe and surrounding areas.

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager (Conservation & Green Spaces) is responsible for:

  • Planning, and delivering green space management on behalf of key partners, Identifying and securing new delivery contracts and grants to grow your team.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage green space contracts to implement site management plans in line with partnership agreements.
  • Lead community green spaces projects including recruiting & training volunteers
  • Ensure project Risk Assessments are completed for all sites
  •  Maintain tools and oversee maintenance of vehicles.
  • Budget monthly reporting
  • Identify new work for the Green Spaces Team providing estimates and quotes, track record and method statements. Negotiate and agree project budgets and write and submit grant funding applications.
  • Develop projects suitable for corporate team building days working with colleagues to promote the opportunities and providing suitable onsite supervision.
  • Formalise partnerships and build strong links with stakeholders. Attend and represent the Trust at relevant meetings, steering groups, forums and conferences, including attending out of office hours when necessary.
  • Provide support and direction to members of staff to ensure they understand their roles
  • Manage sub-contractors effectively and ensure competence and quality of delivery is to the highest standard.
  • Support and direct groups of volunteers and corporate volunteers, in order to ensure Health and Safety procedure followed and the groups enjoy the conservation tasks.
  • Follow and adhere to H&S including Safeguarding Children & vulnerable Adults’ policy and procedures
  • To adhere to the Safer Recruitment & Selection Policy & Procedure.
  • To report any safeguarding incidents or concerns immediately to your Designated Safeguarding Officer or Lead Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Person Specification

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for which you will need to be insured for business use. Employees are able to claim back mileage rates as per our Expenses Policy.
