Packaging Buyer | Fresh Produce

We are working with a thriving fresh produce business who are looking to add a Packaging Buyer to their team. This is as a result of continued growth within the business and will see you develop this part of the business.

The Job:
This role will see you working closely with the wider business and growers coordinating most elements of the procurement and packaging for the business. You will also be involved with providing support to specific exporting countries to help them with their packaging issues or help them improve their process.

This role will also see you developing strategy in line with specific retailers and retail goals to help standardise the packaging formats for the business along with looking at the wider industry and keeping abreast of the latest trends in the market.

The Candidate:
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Experience in the packaging sector, ideally working in fresh food or fast-moving goods.
Excellent Microsoft Office, communication and relationship building skills will help you bond with the team and build meaningful relationships with suppliers.
The ability to work closely in a team but also independently on specific packaging projects will also be necessary.
