About the business:

Our client is a highly regarded and well-respected agricultural company that specialises in breeding and producing onion and shallot seeds, and onion sets. The have been experiencing steady growth since forming in the 1980s and have established relationships with farmers and growers across the UK and Europe.

About the role:

They are now looking for a Junior Technical Sales person to join their team. This role will focus on all activities relating to the production and supply of onion and shallot seeds. This will include maintaining and developing customer relationships, liaising with seed producers to organise crops, arranging the delivery of seed and sets, arranging seed treatments and developing a basic understanding of breeding programs. This position offers very real opportunities for progression, with the idea being that the right person will develop into a more senior role within the business.

The ideal candidate:

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who come from an agricultural background and have an understanding of the industry. Onion experience/knowledge is not necessary and we would still like to hear from those who have worked with different crops. You will have strong commercial acumen and be good at developing relationships. You will also be naturally curious and be passionate about agriculture.
