Estate Groundsman / Maintenance / Gardener

Interesting and varied role working on a large private estate maintaining the grounds and gardens including equestrian facilities and small flock of sheep

Enthusiastic and self motivated with exacting standards and will be working outdoors in all weathers  

Full driving license needed, experience with machinery, ie tractors and tractor-mowers required and able to work on own and within part of a small team

ESTATE

• Grass cutting, weeding, tree management, trimming hedges, clearing leaves
• Use of tractor mounted attachments and hand held machinery 
• Maintenance of machinery 
• Organising and servicing of machinery
• Provide logs for the house
• Pest control
• Leaf management
• Monitoring streams, ponds, drains and ditches
• Sheep management

GARDENS 

• Mow lawns and keep tidy
• Hedge cutting and strimming
• Prune trees
• Maintain gardens

EQUESTRIAN PADDOCKS / YARD

• Cultivation and mowing of grass
• Clean water troughs
• Strimming hedgerows and along fence lines
• Weed control and fertilization
• Maintenance of hedges and trees
• Maintenance of jumps and fencing
• Maintenance of schools and gallops
• Maintain stables and equestrian facilities
• Raking of grounds and maintenance of paths
