Posts will be based on the Wellesbourne Campus but may also need to support work at the Phytobiology Facility on main campus at Warwick.

Applications are invited for two Horticultural Technicians to work in a multi disciplinary team to assist in the provision of high quality field and protected crops research trials. Applicants are welcomed from both the Glass and Field areas of expertise and as we have more than one post available, then flexibility in terms of the focus of the duties can be applied. Applicants should express a preference as to whether they wish to be considered for a field based or glass based role, and/or whether they have experience to apply for either or both positions.

Duties will include (but are not limited to) all aspects of crop production, pest and disease control, harvesting and assisting researchers working on a wide range of crops.

You will be educated to GCSE level including English, Mathematics and a Science related subject or equivalent, and/or educated to NVQ 3 or have relevant level of previous horticultural knowledge and experience. Experience of working in a crop production environment is essential.  In addition, you will also have NPTC FEPA 1 & 6 certificates (recently updated).
