Three Rivers District is an attractive mixture of town and countryside, situated in South West Hertfordshire, where the protection and enhancement of trees, woodlands and the landscape have a high priority. The Council own a number of trees in its parks and open spaces, and a woodland estate of around 240 Ha. The Tree and Landscape Unit are responsible for drawing up Management Plans for all its key sites, many of which include areas of trees and woodlands. We currently have three key parks and open spaces which fly Green Flag.
Tree and Landscape Officer (South)
Salary £27,873 to £32,245 inc. (S01-2) Inclusive of London Weighting
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our lively Tree and Landscape team for a Landscape Officer to be based at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth. One of two such officers; key duties of the post will include dealing with all aspects of tree preservation, liaising with planning officers on tree and landscape matters, and ensuring that all Council owned trees and woodlands are appropriately managed.
What we are looking for:-
You should possess enthusiasm, be well motivated and be able to demonstrate how you could become an invaluable member of the team. You should ideally have a National Diploma, or equivalent in Arboriculture. A full driving licence is essential.
