Grounds Coordinator (Page Park)
Under the direction of the Community Spaces Team and Grounds Supervisor, the role will be responsible for delivering and improving grounds maintenance as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Parks for People project for Page Park located in Staple Hill, South Gloucestershire.
This post is full time, limited term contract for 2 years.
Heritage Lottery funding has been awarded to restore Page Park and its heritage features, to engage the local community in a variety of learning and participation activities and set out a clear programme for its future management, making the park a central focus for the local community and play a prominent role in the regeneration of Staple Hill.
Under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor the post will:
Engage & co-ordinate volunteers to assist with all aspects of park maintenance works including regular volunteer sessions.
Work with the Council’s grounds maintenance teams coordinating the delivery of a management and maintenance plan for Page Park.
Attain and maintain Green Flag status for Page Park (first application submitted)
Prepare schedules of work based on park maintenance plan in agreement with Ground Supervisor.
