Assistant Farm Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Assistant Farm Manager has recently become available with a substantial farming business. The whole operation consists of combinable crops, a dairy herd and an anaerobic digester, bringing the total farm to well over 3,500ha.

The land is based in Gloucestershire and is managed by a dedicated team using modern machinery to farm to the highest standard.

The Job:

Your role as Assistant Farm Manager will be a varied and interesting one, with you being responsible for the day-to-day logistics of the farming operation. You will be focused primarily on the arable enterprise but will be expected to be involved with the other farming enterprises as and when required. You'll strive to bring scale efficiencies to the operation and have strong business sense as well as a high degree of technical ability.

The Person:

This is a genuine management position and requires a candidate who has previous staff management experience. You will have worked in a similar position in the past and have experience of working on large-scale arable operations. Ideally you will also have your FACTS & BASIS qualifications too.
