As Senior Landscape Architect you will be responsible for handling the design process for small and medium sized projects independently, with occasional guidance from senior staff. You will mentor and guide a team of up to four Landscape Architects/Interns, ensuring that the team is both efficient and effective in order to meet project deadlines, and deliver a product that meets the company standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Leader - Under the guidance of senior staff, be responsible for small to medium scale projects, guiding and mentoring a small team. Be a role model. Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the team. Be accountable for meeting the design brief, and delivering the project on time and on budget and to client satisfaction.
Design - Attend and organise design visioning/concept workshops at the start of a project and contribute to the overall design direction of the project. Monitor and control the project process ensuring design progression and development. Develop details using appropriate materials and methods. Be able to convey design ideas at both the concept/visioning stage and in developing details.
Project Management - Report to Direct Manager on a regular basis providing project status (budget, design & programme) and team updates. Seek feedback from senior staff at appropriate times.
Production - Oversee and deliver designs throughout all stages of a project. Develop concepts as agreed at workshops/ charettes. Ensure construction detailing and detailed design are suitable for purpose and appropriate for the project. Manage the tender process, undertake post contract work.
Communication - Undertake presentations to clients/teams for small and medium scale projects. Attend client/team meetings and take notes if required. Communicate verbally and in written format in a concise professional manner.
Ownership - Take ownership for individual project responsibilities, delivering accurate information to a high quality. Pay attention to detail. Actively contribute to company improvements. Coordinate with the CAD Manager to ensure consistent and quality project documentation.
Team player - Work with all team members contributing to the overall company performance and office morale. Be a role model to junior staff members and take the initiate to mentor where required.
Admin/QA-QC - Maintain project correspondence and documentation in accordance with company systems, processes and QA/QC. Proactively ensure the team follows company protocol.
Presentation - Take a proactive role in internal presentations, showcase trips, introducing new products/styles, design innovation. Prepare presentations and present verbally.
Training - Undertake personal training/attend courses that the company deems appropriate to enhance skills/develop role.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements:
Degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognised University.
Minimum 4 years experience in a design office within the landscape design/consultancy industry.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise.
Effective time management skills.
Expert in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Indesign, Photoshop.
A good knowledge of construction details/materials/methods.
Clear understanding of design stages and construction process.
Good communication skills
Ability to respond to stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.

Salary would be AED 15,000 per month / benefits to be discussed.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
