The Gardens and Grounds Department has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Gardener.

The successful applicant must be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, who is prepared to make the very best of this opportunity to develop his or her gardening skills. The successful candidate will be required to attend a relevant gardening course at a College of Further Education. A clear aptitude for this skill must have been demonstrated.

Some experience of working in large-scale gardens would be advantageous.

Candidates should be aware of the physical nature of the position, and of the requirement to work in all weather conditions. This post requires the use of powered machinery and involves working at heights.
