Maintenance Person/Gardener - Live Out - EC6260

A genuine career opportunity has arisen within a family-run business based near High Wycombe and Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire.  This well-respected company has been established for over 55 years and holds garden/property maintenance contracts throughout the outskirts of London.  The company specialises in garden maintenance, soft landscaping, communal cleaning and general estate maintenance, of which all employees will be involved to some extent.  As the role involves complete estate maintenance, approximately 10-hours of the working week may involve interior cleaning in addition to garden care.

Suitable candidates will have knowledge and a genuine interest in herbaceous plants, shrubs, basic pruning techniques and the ability to identify weeds.  Spray certificates PA1 and PA6 would be beneficial but are not expected at this time.  Applicants with experience with common garden machinery are desired, i.e. strimmers, mowers, hedge cutters and blowers.  Candidates at the beginning of their career in horticulture/gardening will be considered, as will those with more experience and/or academic horticultural qualifications, as a salary offering will be made in line with the respective experience held.

Candidates should have a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues, be reliable, punctual, physically fit, and well presented.  Applicants will ideally hold a full UK driving licence.
