About our Client:
This business is an innovative growing client of MorePeople, they supply into the leading retailers here in the UK and abroad with a range of fruit products. The business has high quality standards and is keen to recruit a strong and experienced Technical Manager reporting into the Head of Technical for the business.
About the Job:
In this role as Technical Manager you will manage the factory Technical team and ensure the business meets the required factory standards of their customers. You will develop and train your team, to take them to the next level, you will drive factory standards, you will work with the Head of Technical to ensure unannounced audits are passed, you will be involved in recruitment for the Technical team, and involved in a number of exciting projects.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate in agriculture / horticulture / or food technology and have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior technical role, preferable in fresh produce / ready to eat environment, it will be advantageous if you have a HACCP, auditing and food safety qualification. You will have experience of leading and managing a team and have experience of working with retailers.
To be considered for this role you must have experience of working in a high care ready to eat factory environment preferable with fresh produce, you must be a self-starter, and be able to work on your own initiative. You must have a UK driving licence and be prepared to travel within the UK and overseas. The business is fast paced and you will be required to meet the needs of the business as and when required.
