This family run garden centre business with a very strong emphasis on customer service is currently undergoing a period of exciting change including the opening of a brand new 160+ seater restaurant at their main Dorset site. This high-profile development in a small, food orientated town provides an excellent opportunity to be part of something really quite unique and exciting.
They are looking for a Restaurant Manager who will be truly excited by the chance to create something special. The successful candidate will be somebody with a proven catering background, excellent leadership skills, able to initiate and push through change along with the ability and willingness to take this amazing project and run with it. They will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the restaurant and leading a team to deliver results of the highest quality and profitability.
Their new restaurant looks to deliver simple, fresh, seasonal, reasonably priced food, presented to the highest possible standards with each dish finished off in the kitchen before being taken to the table. The focus should be on delivering a quality breakfast, coffee, lunch and afternoon tea in a relaxed informal environment. Parking, although free, will be at a premium particularly in the garden centre's busy periods so, fast assisted service will be essential.
There is a strong emphasis on seasonality, linking back to the garden wherever possible. Planted kitchen gardens in close proximity to the restaurant provide inspiration for the menu and ideas for customers to try at home.
