UK Technical Director | Cereal Crops
Our client is a recognised and respected global player in the agricultural and plant breeding industries, with a strong presence in UK and Europe. We are currently looking for a technically astute and passionate individual to become the UK based director with ultimate responsibility for the activities of the UK business.
The role is to lead and develop the UK business, by managing the R&D trials station in Newmarket, working on variety registration, representing the business on various technical boards and promoting new varieties in the UK.
You will have a strong background in agricultural trials. These do not necessarily have to be variety trials, an ag-chem background would also be suitable. Ideally you will have a PhD or MSc in agriculture, horticulture or botany. A BSc is essential, as is a strong understanding of genetics.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong skills and experience to take responsibility for a business unit. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative a long way from HQ. You will value your freedom and cherish the trust your employers place in you.
Rewards will reflect your skills and contribution.
