Wholesale Nursery Cash & Carry Supervisor

This Cash and Carry supplies containerised plants to the amenity & landscaping trade. They are currently recruiting for a Nursery Supervisor to join the team based at their Hampshire site.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring correct quality standards for the lifting and preparing of plants/trees for customer orders.
Managing the plant husbandry priorities on the nursery.
Working with the Nursery Section Head to ensure the development of the Nursery team.
Prioritising and putting into action nursery maintenance and any other associated tasks.
Ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered by all the team.
Supporting the Nursery Section Head to ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess:
Experience in containerised production horticulture.
Experience in leading a small team.
Self-motivation and drive
A proactive personality in a demanding environment.
Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
Fork lift truck and tractor driving experience would be an advantage. However, training will be provided.
The work involves heavy lifting and can be physically demanding.

This role is for 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00, Friday 07:30 to 15:00. You will also be required to work some overtime hours when necessary in peak periods, which can include weekends.
