We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Grounds team as a Grounds and Gardens Assistant. The BCA Grounds Department is responsible for the maintenance and development of our Agricultural, Equestrian, Horticultural, Arboricultural and Sports Facilities, set in 400 acres of registered parkland.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in horticulture, and should hold, or be working towards, a professional Horticultural based qualification to Level 2 standard.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake daily maintenance, repair and project work within the estate, gardens and grounds, as well as undertaking mowing, pruning, weeding, planting and mulching of shrub and herbaceous borders. Other duties will include routine maintenance and repair of garden fences, assisting with tree works and knapsack herbicide application. The successful applicant will also operate college machinery, including tractors, chainsaws and all grass cutting equipment.
