Our client is a landscape service provider based in Abu Dhabi. Established in January 2013 its Management team has a combined professional landscaping experience of more than 17 years in the UAE.

Our client partners with its customers to offer comprehensive landscaping solutions while enhancing the environment. As a service provider they offer sustainable solutions that are tailored to each client's specific needs and requirements. As part of this service they are seeking a Landscape Technical Manager to join their Operations team working on projects in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Reporting to the General Manager the major duties and responsibilities will be to:

Supervise and evaluate the operations and projects company wide; Inspect, plan, prioritize, and review all projects' programs.
Ensure the operation's compliance with clients requirements and company internal quality standards.
Develop and implement an annual department work plan based on company goals and values, growth and development issues.
Supervise landscaping practices on sites based on technical evaluation of landscape conditions and provide the required recommendations on maintaining and improving site condition.
Identify trees and shrubs by species and inspect for insect and disease pests.
Investigate complaints received regarding landscape issues; directs periodic inspections of landscape.
Directs landscape maintenance programs, including fertilization, pest control, and plant selection, installation and care.
Manage the overall operation of the nursery to ensure efficient and optimum plants production.
Take part in the tendering process and ensure the compliance with the technical specifications of the tender.
Join the Executive Committee to discuss current and future challenges facing them and formulate a solution to such challenges.
Plans, develops and conducts training programs for employees regarding horticulture, turf and vegetation management, vegetation diseases and cures, pesticides, insecticides and other related safety and legal issues related to arboriculture.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

For this role our client is seeking an outstanding individual who has outstanding landscaping knowledge and experience.

Ideally they should have:

Bachelors degree in Horticulture or Arboriculture
Minimum of 15 years experience (out of which a minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial role).
Certification from an acknowledged professional Landscaping/Arboriculture organisation is an added advantage.
Stellar verbal and written communication/reporting skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities.
Solid computer and MS Office skills.
