This established post has responsibility for all activity undertaken by the gardens team in the park and across the wider estate. The presentation, maintenance and conservation of the estate grounds and Grade 1 listed park are key to the role, in particular the presentation of the Hall’s Terraces, the Arboretum, the 6 acres of the walled garden and the grounds of The Victoria Inn and Longlands.

We are looking for an experienced manager with proven ability for motivating staff, an excellent knowledge of horticulture and a track record of delivering projects on time and to budget. Experience of managing volunteers is also very desirable. This is a hands-on role, whereby you will need to be highly visible and active. Genuine enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail, an appreciation of quality and a willingness to lead from the front and to work calmly under pressure are essential as this post covers an extensive and varied remit.

Salary: Depending on experience.
