Are you an experienced account manager with a background in the food service and/or wholesale channels? Do you enjoy driving accounts forward and hunting for new business opportunities? Do you have the track record to show that you can deliver and have experience in the value added, prepared, ready to cook or food to go categories? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Our Client:

Our client are a vertically integrated food business who manufacture a variety of value added food products, many of which are created from ingredients from their own farming operations. They supply good, honest fresh food products into the foodservice and wholesale channels.

About the Job:

This role is all about sales. Sounds simple, doesn't it?! BUT, these products are very fast moving and have short shelf life, meaning the business can't sit on loads of stock for fear of it going to waste. Add in that the market is very competitive and you can see that it needs to be more than the average salesperson. You will utilise you experience in delivering sales in the foodservice and wholesale channels to broaden the business' customer base, whilst simultaneously looking after the existing accounts and your book of business to drive sales, maintain margins and deliver.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both the added value food sector as well as the foodservice and wholesale channels. You will be able to work at pace and deliver sales and account growth. You will be willing to travel and get out to visit clients and potential customers to drive sales. You will be a team player with a great attitude and a good sense of humor.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this challenging role you will need to have a proven track record with a variety of foodservice and/or wholesale customers. You will need to have experience in a fresh/chilled food product, or as a minimum a food product with a short shelf life. You will need to be tenacious and be able to sell...but be able to have fun whilst doing it.

Salary:

~£50k - £60k
