Propagation Business Planning and Support

A leading berry grower is looking for a passionate Propagation Business Planning and Support to assist the Head of Growing in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the propagation site. This successful soft fruit business has multiple sites across the UK but you will be based on their farm in West Sussex.

Your responsibilities:
You'll have a variety of responsibilities including propagation of tips, propagation of long cane and health and safety. Your duties will include:
Forecasting plant availability and communicating tip availability to external and internal customers.
Inspecting material held in cold store.
Walking the propagation crops and reporting back on any pest, disease or husbandry issues.
Ensure that all machinery is safe and up to the defined standards.

The person:
Candidates will have experience of working in a similar role in propagation, preferably with soft fruit.
You will be proactive and organised.
Strong communication skills
Be flexible - due to the seasonal nature of this role you will be required to work longer hours and weekends during seasonal peaks.

Salary: £22,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
