Production Planner | Fresh Produce

The Company:
This SME farming business that specialises in supplying contractors and major supermarket retailers, are looking for an experienced Production Planner to support the Commercial Manager with producing effective production plans. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic fresh produce business that are going from strength to strength and are an established leader within their field.

The Job:
In this role you will be producing production plans to ensure product is graded and packed to meet production and order deadlines and the packing plan is suitable to meet the requirements of the sales programme. You will also be required to liaise with customers to manage requirements of programmes, orders and 3rd party product arrivals. Working with the Management team, you will ensure an efficient, legally compliant and safe working environment as well as covering for the Commercial Manager when needed.

The Candidate:
To be considered for this role, you must have several years' worth of experience working within Planning in a fast-moving food production environment, preferably working with fresh produce, most desirably soft fruit. You must also have fantastic organisational and people skills, as you will be required to liaise with not only your team but other departments within the business.
