Join our Schools and Communities Team
The RHS is a national charity with a mission to inspire everyone to grow, as it is vital to our wellbeing, the environment and the happiness of us all. This new role is to work in our passionate communities and schools team, in the beautiful surroundings of RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey.
The RHS is undergoing an exciting period of development, building state-of-the-art science and leaning facilities at Wisley, developing a brand new garden in Salford and bringing our work with community volunteers, schools and groups to the heart of it all.
The team delivers our award winning school’s programme the Campaign for School Gardening offering resources, training, competitions and projects all designed to get young people growing and feeling the benefits. It also supports Britain in Bloom, an amazing force of volunteers that clean and green our towns, cities and villages across the UK.
This is a new role to manage and build the impact of RHS schools and community programmes in order to deepen the engagement with our audiences and improve the support that we deliver. Managing four people, you will work with the team to develop, test and deliver inspiring and dynamic training courses and resources that meet our audience’s needs.
We are looking for someone with the skills to develop a deeper understanding of what drives our key audiences through consultations and focus groups, as well as keeping on top of market trends. The successful candidate will have experience of developing effective and impactful training methodology, delivering training and resources to a wide variety of audiences, including young people, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
